How do I transport a wild Lady's Slipper orchid inside my house?

I found a rare wild pink Lady Slipper (Paphiopedilum) on my property, growing in rocks and moss. This type of orchid is very rare, not only where I live but in places across the world.I read I can transplant it inside my house. So how would I do that, and how will I take care of it? I really want to keep it safe, because I don't think it would survive in where it is living right now. So how can I transplant it and what are some tips for it? Thanks in advance. If you are concerned that it will not survive in it's current location, I would advise consulting with a professional horticulturist. Moving it may kill it.

Reply:In MOST states it's illegal to touch a Lady slipper. They're on the National Endagered list. Just leave it be, protect it as best as you can. Wild orchids do NOT transplant readily and require a LOT of moisture, shade and warmth. It's BEST to just leave it where it is and let nature do the job of caring for it. Nature is ALWAYS the best answer for wild, rare plants.
