How do i get rid of this rough skin on my foot? HELP!!!?

When i was younger, i wore tight tenis shoes and it caused me to get blisters. I have flat feet so it's very hard to find comfortable shoes that won't cause me blisters. Then after the blisters healed, i got this really rough dry skin. I tried to cut it off but, when i started to go get pedicures, the lady told me to stop cutting it, it gets even worse. She told me to use this rough spounge. I have been using it for 2 months and my feet look a lot better (as in smoother) but, i want to to go away. You can tell i have something under my foot even though it's smooth. It's very nasty for a girl to have it and i love wearing slippers. It's so hard to wear slippers and heels without showing it.

And i tried lotion, it still is kind of rough.

How do i get rid of this rough skin on my foot? HELP!!!?
buy the Ped egg, it actually works. I use it and you can see the dead skin it takes off in the container, its gross!!! Afterwards, use your fave moisturizer and your feet are ready to go.Hint: Ebay sells it cheapest!!
Reply:Use a foot file. It is much more efficient than a pumice stone and can be found usually with the manicure and pedicure section of your local pharmacy. It removes the thick rough skin from your feet. However, you have to soak it in water before you file, and after that, it'll make them as good as new. Continue to apply lotion after filing the feet, to moisturize it.

Its the slippers that cause you to have dry feet, as the skin is exposed to dry air.
Reply:Find a heavy body creme and apply it. Or try butter. Butter up your feet at night and put on footies or socks. That's called a bootie treatment. Or course, you'll have to wash your feet in the morning.
Reply:The "rough sponge" is a pumice stone. Don't use it every day, you can make it worse.

Try this: get some athletes' foot cream (any pharmacy has it in the "foot care" aisle---Lotrimin is really good). Rub that on your feet every night and put on cotton socks. If you can put it on in the morning and wear socks during the day, that is even better. You'll see improvement in a week. Use the pumice stone ONLY once a week and only after soaking your feet in warm water.

Make sure you sterilize the pumic stone regularly--use hydrogen peroxide to get the funk out.
Reply:You should soak your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes, then use a foot file to scrub your dead/hard out..(like filing your nails, but harder)....until when it's smooth when u touch it. Otherwise, you could use a blade if you're familiar but its not advisable to, if you're unsure of how to use it properly.

After doing so, you should apply some baby oil on your feet and put on socks..also before you sleep, you should apply some foot lotion/cream..this would help make the skin harden less.

A foot file works better as compared to a pumice stone..=) You shouldn't cut your skin as well as this would widen the surface area of "torn skin"...use the foot file and gently smoothen it out...it will desappear somehow..
