Ladies, question about ballet slippers????

Do you wear leather ballet slippers as slippers or a causual shoe, and not just for dance?

I personally don't, but I might if I had some. You can get regular ballet slippers soled so they're more durable and last longer, and I would probably do that if I had easy access to ballet shoes.
Reply:Ballet slippers as a style of shoe have become very popular, but they are not quite like the ones used for ballet dance.
Reply:Ballet flats these days aren't meant for ballet, or to be used as slippers. They can be a casual or fancy substitute to a shoe. I usually wear flats instead of heels because they are more comfortable.
Reply:There are certain types of "ballet slippers" (aka flats) that you can buy at most shoe stores that aren't made for ballet dancing. These are the kinds we would wear on a regular bases. I think that wearing actual ballet slippers to walk around would be uncomfortable and would ruin the bottom of the slipper.
